Tarras Downs Homestead
SPG worked with the owners of Tarras Downs, an 1,100ha sheep and beef farm in Tarras, from the early stages of assessing potential building sites through to preparation and overseeing of a resource consent application for a rural dwelling, associated earthworks and landscaping.
The proposal which involved a single storey dwelling with detached cabana and pool area designed by Mason & Wales Architects, was subject to a publicly notified process and SPG represented the client at the Central Otago District Council hearing and consent was subsequently approved.
SPG also prepared and oversaw the processing of an application to the Otago Regional Council for ‘residential earthworks’ due to the scale of the earthworks involved. This consent was obtained successfully on a non-notified basis.
